How it works

From opportunity to authorized publish and measurement

Merist HQ does not sign in with your password and does not scrape a private session. The account owner authorizes access through each platform’s official OAuth (or equivalent) flow. Merist then performs only the actions covered by the granted permissions.

End-to-end workflow

1. 1
   Research a content opportunity

   Identify a topic, angle, and audience worth covering on a supported platform format.

2. 2
   Create the content

   Produce the script, claim, and creative direction for the piece.

   Prepare media / video

   Assemble the media package (for example a short-form video) ready for the destination platform.

   Connect an authorized platform account

   The operator selects a supported platform and is sent to that platform’s official authorization page. Permissions are reviewed there — not on a Merist password form.

   Authorized platform publishing or upload

   When the platform has approved the relevant app scopes and the user has granted them, Merist can upload content as a draft for further creator review or publish directly to the connected profile. Publishing only occurs for accounts that explicitly authorized the app.

   Performance measurement

   Merist retrieves identity and performance fields the platform returns for the authorized account and its content. Fields the platform does not return remain unavailable.

   Future content optimization

   Organized results inform the next research and creative cycle. Evidence replaces guesswork where the platform provided data.

User control

• Users explicitly authorize each supported social account.
• Access is limited to the permissions/scopes granted by the user and the platform.
• Users can disconnect a platform in Merist and can revoke the app in the platform’s own settings.
• Merist only performs supported actions within those granted permissions.
• Credentials and tokens are handled on Merist servers and are not exposed on this public site.
