Supported / connected platforms
Merist HQ can connect the following platforms through each platform’s official authorization. A platform is only used after the account owner grants access. Merist supports authorized analytics and, where the platform and user have approved the relevant scopes, authorized content publishing or upload workflows.
YouTube
Merist can connect a YouTube channel the operator is authorized to use. After official Google authorization, Merist may read channel identity and permitted video analytics. Where upload or related scopes are separately granted and enabled in the product, Merist may also use those permissions only for the connected channel. Password collection is never used.
TikTok
Merist can connect a TikTok account the operator is authorized to use. After official TikTok authorization, Merist may use basic profile information, profile statistics, and public video list / performance fields for measurement workflows.
Merist HQ implements TikTok Content Posting for
authorized connected accounts: Draft Upload under video.upload
and Direct Post under video.publish, each after explicit
operator confirmation. Production Content Posting audit approval is not
claimed until TikTok grants it. Unaudited Direct Post remains subject to
TikTok restrictions. Unrestricted autonomous TikTok publishing remains
disabled. Merist does not post to TikTok accounts that have not
authorized the app.

Merist can connect an Instagram professional account through official Meta authorization when the operator enables that connection. After authorization, Merist may read permitted media insights and, where publishing scopes are granted and enabled, may use those permissions only for the connected professional account.
X
Merist can connect the @meristhq X account through official X authorization when the operator enables that connection. Identity and read scopes support analytics workflows. Direct Messages are not requested. Any write/publish capability on X remains limited to what the operator has authorized in the product and does not happen from these public pages.
Shared boundaries
- Authorization always happens on the platform’s own sign-in page.
- Users explicitly authorize each connected account.
- Access is limited to granted permissions/scopes.
- The operator may disconnect a platform in Merist at any time.
- The account owner may revoke the app in that platform’s settings.
- Merist does not post to accounts that never authorized the app.
- Merist does not claim ownership of connected accounts or their content merely because they are connected.
